Henry
Garfit
Born in 1975, Henry Garfit has made a name for himself in recent years as a respected contemporary abstract painter and printmaker. He attended the Slade and Camberwell Art College before heading west in 2003 to work as a full-time artist. Garfit now works from his studio near St. Ives in the far west of Cornwall. He has exhibited widely throughout the UK in numerous group and solo shows, most recently contributing to a major exhibition of British Printmaking at Newlyn Art Gallery and the Exchange. Henry Garfit's latest collection New Relief Prints follows his portfolio of screenprints and is the culmination of his years of experience in printmaking and belief that the medium ‘can offer endless possibilities for artists creating new work to this day.’
